Doesn't Dell work on a pure BTO model, which would mean that Dell needs assurance from its suppliers that the parts they order will be in on time?

Seems that betting on AMD to deliver on-time with volumes is like betting on the sun to shine in the Pacific Northwest. There's been way too many rainy days when it comes to AMD's execution that Dell just can't tolerate with their BTO model.
