you are smart, take out vic and the other analysts with the reporters for drinks. hj pours out his heart, everyone cries, as hj promises idtc will not make the analysts or marketwatch look bad again. analysts promise upgrades, the reporters promise a front page story and to spread the word on cnbc prior to the market tomorrow about idtc as the most discounted stock in telecom/internet arean and everyone should purchase.
unfortunately, everyone has to many drinks, hj has no recollection about his promise on earnings, the vic downgrades idtc because of a hangover, the other analysts have no memory of last night and wonder if idtc mgmt even showed up, and the reporters are wondering why they have this wonderful story with a gazillion typos about idtc on there laptop and the author is some hawaii60. story is never published because of so many typos, but they figure good joke to play on joe.
the reporters pass along the story to joe, reads it any way, which does not make much sense, since joe reads it with the errors, and to hawaii's dismay as he eats his fruitloops (someone hawaii needs the himelich maneuver), he realizes he typoed the stock symbol as itdc, which immediately doubles the price of the wrong stock. |
