His words don't suggest Adobe, though:
Adobe is about 50-75% of the way into the market already

Adobe was just my guess as to a big player that could actually compete with Macromedia. They currently have no product that can compete with Flash. They have one of the more popular QuickTime related products in Premiere and so have a built in audience for a product like LiveStage. Adobe could also perhaps build upon LiveStage to make it a more powerful product and go against Macromedia's Director. I don't see the logic in buying GoLive if they don't have or plan to have the other products to make dynamic/animated web sites as part of their offering.

Buying GoLive seems to be the first step in competing with the Macromedia suite of products: Fireworks/Dreamweaver/Flash/Director.
Adobe is a strong, aggressive company that i would love to see take the LiveStage product to its full potential. I hope they are interested. They have seen how Flash has taken off and I would bet they want a piece of that pie.

Part wishful thinking and part logical assessment of Adobe's current product mix.
