IBM could have used its own"superior" O/S2 and avoided the MSFT hold up.JFD

IBM put on the OS/2 Box "a better Windows than Windows"
IBM called it OS/2 or the next OS.
IBM said it would replace Windows on the desktop.
IBM was probably 10 times bigger than MSFT

I can't imagine why MSFT would begin to act competitive.
