Modern Records appoints vice-president of Artist & Repertoire Modern Records Inc MZR Shares issued 19,680,000 Jun 7 close $0.74 Tue 8 Jun 99 News Release Mr. Randy Jackson reports Modern Records has appointed Henley "Jr." Regisford to the position as vice-president of Artist & Repertoire (A&R). Mr. Regisford, has been active in A&R positions since 1992 and has worked with such artists as, the Pointer Sisters, Salt N' Pepa, Vanessa Williams and Barry White. Since 1996, he served as vice-president of A&R for A&M Records where his responsibilities included remixes, edits, production, mastering, picking singles etc. for more than a dozen projects. Many were Platinum-plus singles such as "Body Bumpin" by Public Announcement and "What Kind Of Man Would I Be" by Mint Condition. He was also the soundtrack eecutive for the Platinum-selling album "The Players Club Soundtrack". The company has also retained Stanley Winslow as sales and promotion consultant. Mr. Winslow is a highly experienced promotion and marketing executive and has worked for MCA Records, Columbia Records and Elektra Entertainment. Artists he has been involved with include; Prince, George Michael, Diana Ross, Mariah Carey, Donna Summer, New Kids on the Block and Patti LaBelle. His most significant success was the Platinum seller "Digable Planets", for which he also won a Grammy Award. Randy Jackson says, "We are delighted to have Jr. and Stanley join our management team, to support our projects, highlighted by the exciting Jacksons release and our new artist Abel Mason." Mr. Jackson also stated: "The company has received the resignation of Kendrick E. Packer from the board of directors and like to thank him for his service to the company. Mr. Packer has been of great assistance and although he will no longer be a board member he will continue in an active role to assist us in corporate finance matters."
