Flycast Delivers One Billionth Rich Media Impression

Ad Network Leads the Online Advertising Effort to Support Rich Media; Two New Partnerships Enhance Rich Media Program to Maximize ROI

SAN FRANCISCO, June 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Flycast Communications Corp. (Nasdaq: FCST), the leading provider of Web-based direct response advertising solutions, today made several announcements that reinforce the company's leadership position in supporting and delivering rich media Web advertisements. First, Flycast announced that it has delivered one billion rich media impressions over the 850+ site Flycast Network. Additionally, Flycast has partnered with rich media technology providers Comet Systems, Inc. and IQ.COM.

Currently, 20% of ads delivered over the Flycast Network contain rich media in formats such as HTML, Java, Shockwave, or technology from Flycast partners AudioBase, MessageMedia and Thinking Media. Additionally, 50% of Flycast Network sites are ''rich media ready,'' providing a single point of access for advertisers that want to deliver highly interactive campaigns to millions of Web consumers. Similar to recent industry studies from companies such as Comet Systems, @Home and Wired Digital, Flycast research has found that the use of interactive, rich media ads is more effective than traditional, static ads.

With these new partnerships, the Flycast Network can now deliver ads to hundreds of Websites using the dynamic custom cursors of Comet Systems. Advertisers can also now design sales promotions and loyalty programs that start in the ad banner with tools from IQ.COM, which integrates with Flycast's ResponsePoint(TM). ResponsePoint is a full suite of services that enable Web advertisers to maximize response by easily converting static advertising messages into interactive ads. The program already supports the formats of Thinking Media and MessageMedia, and helps advertisers avoid the time and money hurdles otherwise associated with generating a rich media campaign.

''We are committed to providing ROI-effective solutions that harness rich media's proven ability to increase response,'' said Larry Braitman, vice president of corporate development and new ventures for Flycast. ''Flycast is the only ad network that enables advertisers to create and deploy rich media ads across hundreds of Web sites with minimal lead time and up-front expense.''

''Advertisers and interactive agencies love new technologies which can bring them increased visibility and better performance,'' said Dean Margolis, CEO of Comet Systems. ''The Millward Brown Interactive study, sponsored by top-tier national advertisers and focusing on the Comet Cursor, demonstrated a doubling of click-through and a ten-fold increase in ad awareness when a branded cursor was added to an online banner. By adding these capabilities to their network, Flycast furthers their lead in bringing advertisers innovative rich media solutions.''

''E-commerce enabled banners have been recognized as the ideal selling medium,'' said Marcia Kadanoff, vice president and chief marketing officer at IQ.COM. ''IQ.COM helps advertisers implement interactive promotions, improve response and ultimately increase customer acquisition rates. With IQ.COM's tools advertisers can acquire first time buyers at a very low price point directly from the banner. Flycast's support of our services helps advertisers who want to maximize the value of their Web media buys.''
