SKYC now owns XM radio 100% ! This is very big news and accounts for the rise. They also announced the GM will exclusively market their XM radio product in all GM cars and trucks. That alone is big news, although expected since GM owns and interest in SKYC (via Hughes). This puts SKYC on an even footing with CD Radio. I did not expect this deal at all. I wonder what happened. Maybe Worldspace, whom SKYC bought its interest in XM from, was short on the cash needed to develop XM radio. In any case, it is surprising to me that they now own 100% of XM radio.
