GREENVILLE, S.C., June 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Datastream Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:
DSTM) today announced that the Company's maintenance software systems
based on the Microsoft Access database will support Microsoft Office 2000.

Datastream's MP2(R) Professional(TM), MaintainIt Pro)(TM) and MaintainIt(R)
maintenance software products utilize the Microsoft Access database to store
equipment, labor, inventory and other crucial information.

MP2 Professional offers an array of easy-to-use features to streamline

Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO) parts. MaintainIt Pro and MaintainIt
are designed specifically for small-to-medium sized maintenance organizations and
for companies who are implementing their first comprehensive maintenance
software system.
