Cannot deposit third party checks into your account?
Anyone had this problem with Wit?

My wife and myself both accounts at Wit Capital. I trade in
my account sometimes and currently have no cash. And my wife's
account has tonnes of cash sitting there. I got allocation of
WITC. To pay for it, my wife wrote a check to US Clearing Corp
and I mailed it to Wit by next-day air.

Today I get an email as below:

----
RE: Return Of Your Check

Thank you for your check. However, the check which we received for your
shares in the Wit Capital IPO was not from you and cannot be deposited
because of the policy on third party checks from our clearing house, US
Clearing. The settlement date for the shares in question is Wednesday June
9. You must get the necessary funds to us by either your own personal check,
a cashier's check or money order, or a wire transfer by that date.

We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your support of Wit
Capital

Stragely, my wife wrote check for me several times in the past and
I never had problems!!!

I fail to understand why a check my wife writes to "US Clearing Corp"
for deposit into my account be a problem. Anyone have any explaination?
