Mark, You need to study the scriptures to see what your heritage is. God chose the Jews as His own special people. Read the story of Abraham in the Book of Genesis. God made a blood covenant with Abraham which included blessings if His word and His commandments were kept and cursing if they were not. See Deut. 28. God has used His covenant with Abraham to get redemption to the human race through the Lord Jesus Christ. Why did God choose the Jews to do such an important thing? I don't know. You'll have to study and ask Him for yourself. I'm sure He will answer if you ask sincerely. God has His reasons and we don't know everything. But ever answer to ever questions can be found in His Word, the Holy Bible - if you are diligent to seek it out.
