Bill

I called Mead Johnson (makers of Enfamil) several weeks ago just for fun to ask about the progress of DHA addition in their formulas and they were very open and helpful. They had their technical rep call me and she told me that they were in the process of determining whether they wanted to add the DHA to their formulas and couldn't comment more beyond that.

Then I emailed Martek and asked the same questions and they said that it would be up to the formula companies to get FDA approval to market the enhanced formulas. (Note that the rep said "FDA approval", not "GRAS"...) All in all it sounds like the earliest we would see the enhanced formulas is the end of the year, but more realistically later. The rep also sent me phone numbers of the vitamin companies who are selling Neuromins and said to call them to find out where they are being sold. I plan to do that just to get an idea of how popular this stuff is. I think the company has a great future, especially if the formula business takes off, and especially if this FDA meeting results in more widespread acceptance of DHA.

I wonder whether the stock will get any bounce from this upcoming meeting in March since it sounds like a testimonial and we won't get a decision until September.

Sincerely

Wu Ying
