I think the inflation numbers are not based on reality anyway. It seems to me that things have been getting more expensive during the 90s. I think they need to broaden the measure of inflation to more accuratly access how the average Joe is affected by inflation.

When a recession hits, short the hell out of the market. Most people will be surprised at how far it will fall when the economy is contracting.
