El, With the comments from Kumar and DLJ this morning I fully expected the price to fall much further than one point. There was also a ~50% increase in daily volume (compared to the last few weeks). Yet the price held fairly well in a weak market.

There can always be more bad news, but given that the possibility of another poor/disappointing quarter is being openly broadcast by analysts, would you really say that CPQ faired poorly today?

The performance of this stock, or lack thereof, is gnawing away at me too, but if you're going to watch it every day you have to look for some kind of silver lining. Every day it doesn't reach a new 52 week low is a good day to me - especially with all the looming doom and gloom. It's sad that that would constitute a silver lining, but that's where we are at the moment.
