Once upon a time long, long ago in a galaxy far, far away..stocks traded on their own merit! There was no third party (ie. ..analyst to make remarks on a company they were not even involved in) involvement and the stocks moved in a rational manner according to their own performance or lack of. No-one held a hypothetical stick for them to jump over to gain praise. Does anyone remember when and for what sane reason this crap with these analysts and the brokerage houses began? It has gotten completely out of hand..IMHO..'til there is no investing anymore....This is pure and simple gambling. We buy the issue and hope that it gets blessed by the right house so it will go up! Nothing seems to move on its own merit anymore...a case in point....DELL right now...There was nothing..I repeat ..Absolutely nothing wrong with the last earnings report..Hell..I bet most companies would like to do a fraction as well..and what do we get? I am sure we will probably be alright in long run, but why do we have to put up with this horse manure at present? Because all the powers that be are probably in bed with each other for the $$$!!! The little guy is fast becoming a dinosaur in the marketplace..Well..let me put my soapbox back in the closet for now...sometimes I have to vent!..Comments anyone?
