RON - I have the Form 10-QSB for the quarterly period ended 3/31/96 (for me the latest one too):

It is mentioned there, that the "Current Liabilities" are 6,879,000 USD (Page 3).
Also it is stated there, that:
"... In addition, the Company at December 31, 1995 had minimal amounts of debt, which totalled approximatly $1.0 million, of which $ 520 thousand was current. The company maintains ..."

Unfortunatly, I don't know the clear difference between DEBTS and LIABILITIES either (even these terms might be pretty basic).
However, I believe that in both cases (debt or liability) we just talk about amounts, which has to be payed by the company. These both terms might just be different categories of Payables.
(But I might be wrong - I am happy for correction.)
