The fund managers that believe that biotech should go down in the summer, Kurt von Emster et al., are probably preparing for vacation.

They collectively perform poorly, and I, for one, will continue to take money from their clients.

von Emster manages the Franklin (Templeton) Biotechnology Discovery Fund. He believes (has stated in public) that biotech goes down in the summer. He has, by almost any measure, a very poor record. If he is selling your stocks, odds are that you are well-informed.

He also stated in public that 1995 was a limited rally for biotech and that you have to short stocks in the biotech sector. One of his more laughable decisions in described in the AGPH thread.

To answer your question more directly.... there are tons of poorly-informed portfolio managers out there, making critical decisions about lots of biotech paper. Don't sweat a single day.
