NEWS RELEASE
May 9, 1999
Rocky Mountain Ginseng, Inc. (OTCBB: RMGG) is pleased to announce that the first stage of construction to the new facility in Fuzhou was completed ahead of schedule and under budget. Administration staff are now working out of the new facility while construction of the GMP manufacturing plant commences in the new building.
Manufacturing of the traditional Fuzhou Fujian Drugs products will continue to be produced in the existing factory until the new facility is completed at which time all manufacturing will be done in the new plant.
Equipment for the production of Heavenly Slices and Ginseng Honey was purchased in North America and shipped by container to Fuzhou on June 4, 1999. The Company projects that the new manufacturing facility will be complete and fully operational by August 31, 1999.
Recent meetings held in Fuzhou with representatives from RMGG along with a European pharmaceutical company and officials from the Chinese Drug Bureau resulted in a mutual understanding of the proper procedures required for RMGG to market Western pharmaceutical products in China. RMGG and the European company are presently working on a marketing agreement to distribute approved pharmaceutical products and also determine the feasibility of manufacturing additional products in China in the future.
