Hmmmm last I checked MSFT income was 7 billion on 18 billion revenue as compared to SUNW's meager 900 million income on 11 billion revenue.

MSFT has monopoly like power on the desktop versus SUNW facing a plethora of competition from IBM, HP, SGI, DELL, CPQ ... proprietary iron is getting harder to push, especially on the desktop/low-end servers where x86 is making inroads (especially now with Linux).

As you pointed out SUNW has already had it's run based on the fallacy that it's an INET stock. It's PE's is way to high versus it's immediate competitors (HP/IBM).

++++ we'll see Y2K IT hardware budget crunch very soon for that larger proprietary type boxes ...
