Haim, It was only recent that market strategists were saying 6 percent was such a great buy and that it would reverse from there. As with the low volume in the stock market, some if not most buyers will sit on the sidelines until the economic reports and the Fed meeting. One of the "explanations" that I've seen for the Dow rallying 500 points in the face of the TYX spiking up was that the investors felt a 25 basis point hike would not cause the economy to slow appreciably and that the corporate profits would not be affected.
