James - well this is a pretty bold statement. Im not sure exactly how you came up with this - every indication is that desktop "power" is being reduced to a Java Based Browser and ubiquitous access to the Net on a low cost device which today is a PC and tomorrow will be a palm pilot or yes, a network computer.

your about 10 years behind the curve and reading from Microsoft's hymnal - that your going to happily jaunt down to compusa and buy some overweight software that is obsolete tomorrow and spend hours installing it while you plan for your next processor and OS upgrade from Microsoft and Intel. You computer hobbyists never change do you?
