Well, let's just say that to compete in this end of the market they'll have to match Seagate's "U" series pricing which is reported to be able to get down to $70 - still at some profit I presume.

But Fujitsu will be in the same predicament as Quantum, WD, Samsung and Maxtor. They don't have drives designed from the get go for the $70 OEM pricing structure. Remember, the only legitimate members of that club are Seagate and Conner - who starts shipping this month (to answer a prior question on this thread about Conner).
