Lucent Planning More Takeovers as predicted 3 days ago ASND is not the last acquisition for LU - per Wednesday's N Y Times Bloomberg quotes LU CEO Richard McGinn as saying the pace of acquisitions would continue after the ASND $24BN deal closes. "We have really improved our ability to make acquisitions and integrate these companies." Bloomberg further stated that Lucent is using acquisitions to catch up in areas where it lacked products to challenge Cisco Systems Inc. nytimes.com
