Raymond:

Regarding satellite datafeed. I don't use DirectTV, or a similiar satellite type ISP service for data.

I have is PC Quote satellite data feed that comes off of a different satellite. The only information that comes off of my satellite dish is stock data (Every quote, MM update, trade, etc. from every stock).

Regarding the weather, I have never had a problem during bad weather. The signal strength will drop, somewhat, but not enough to cause problems. Last summer the actual satellite went unstable and was lost. A few days later they switched to a new satellite and we had to redirect the dish. My main concern with the satellite feed is from a recent comment of a possible ~0.5 seconds latentcy for getting the data from satellite (the satellite is located over the equator, south of Houston). Can anyone confirm this for certain? 0.5 seconds doesn't sound like much, but it can be the difference between making or missing a trade. If this delay is unavoidable, I might switch to another data source.
