I did that once. Erased my backup drive with more than a year of data/info on it. That's how I came to use PQ Lost & Found. Also, I now label all my drives.

I'm not sure why you installed win98 -- was that just to run DI? If so, you can run DI from a floppy or from your HDD as long as you are booted to DOS.
