Mark -- what I was told today by an advisor to currency traders -- I cannot name him but he works for the largest research firm of its kind in the world and is responsible for Japan -- what he told me was to watch for Japan's release of GNP data which is expected to be an upside surprise -- meaning a positive number instead of a negative number. When I returned to my hotel I saw a report on the web to that effect posted a couple of hours after the interview, meaning was talking to the source. In this environment, currency and interest rates do matter. Did you notice the long bond above 6%. AMZN will lead the market down. Eject.
