<<I already have QNTM overweighed in my portfolio. So to really
play the arbitrage, I would have to short QNTM and long
MDCD. As I still have faith in QNTM I'd rather not sell QNTM.
Or should I sell all my QNTM and buy for the money MDCD?>>
I don't see how you can play this without increasing your exposure to Quantum further. Shorting Quantum would not be wise since your loss on any increase above $20.45 would not be offset by further gain on MDCD (which stops appreciating at $10. Selling Quantum to participate in this deal risks missing upside if the tracking stock lives up to its potential.

<<Now a question to the thread: How will the stocksplit affect the QNTM-MDCD-deal?>
Hopefully, it will keep Quantum above or significatly above $20.45. You would have to assume that if the split has gone thru (not essential), that they would merely be added back together in the same proportions to arrive at a combined Quantum price. -Z
