(NYSE: HYC) -- Cabletron Systems and Hypercom Corp. stated that they are joining technological and marketing forces. As part of a new OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) agreement, Cabletron will resell VoIP gateways from the Network Systems division of Hypercom Corp., expanding its own solution set while augmenting Hypercom's worldwide distribution. Hypercom's proven IPTelephony products support and combine voice, fax, video and data using LAN or WAN backbone network architectures. Hypercom is a worldwide developer, manufacturer and supplier of high performance, comprehensive point-of-sale payment systems and sophisticated enterprise networking products. For the 6 months ended 12/31/98, revenues fell 9 percent to $136.6M. Net income rose 13 percent to $12.4M. In the past 12 months, Hypercom has seen a low of $4.25 and a high of $14.25. Hypercomshares trade a daily average volume of 150,000.
