Who told you that you have no standing? I guess a lawyer, who else says things like that? Of course you have standing, what you may not have are substantial damages. I am guessing that there are consumer protection statutes that will get you attorney's fees and treble damages. You may be getting back the money that was stolen, but are you getting repaid for out-of-pocket expenses? Agreed that it's not a mega-bucks case, so the question is, what is it worth to you to find out what happened?
