Berney:" Gertie, Gertie, Gertie Stein isn't dot com, period "
well, haven't been trading since end of QTR-1, so kinda outta the swing of things, Berney. Mr. Market looks like a drunken sailor bouncing along Spui Straat in down-town Amsterdam (^_^)
MadameGonzo and I have been restoring the old house and grounds here, which is a bit of a laff, because we've always lived in flats in town, and so we're like two kids playing "house" for the first time. All I can tell you is that there are a lot of other people down at Home Depot buying plumbing parts and bug spray.
DJ sent me a book about Yugoslavia, "The Bridge on the Drina" by Ivo Andric. Bridges, you see, have special meanings to these peoples - at once joining and dividing them - a place where you can go be but cannot stay for long. No wonder, then that they tried to gather there, on their bridges, rather than town squares, to share fears and anger: the NATO bombs may have been smart, but they were also ignorant of history.
June needs to rally, really. Else chuck it, and get out the Christmas Tree ornaments: two zero, zero, zero. I think I'll go to Havana for the occasion, and celebrate 1968 all over again, again.
