Valero Shut Corpus Christi Refinery Unit for Maintenance

San Antonio, Texas, June 8 (Bloomberg) -- Valero Energy
Corp. said it shut a gasoline unit at its Corpus Christi, Texas,
refinery for unplanned maintenance.

The 81,000-barrel-a-day unit, known as a heavy-oil cracking
unit, was idled Sunday. It's expected to restart in about a week,
spokesman Greg Matula said.

San Antonio, Texas-based Valero operates five refineries in
Texas, Louisiana, and New Jersey with a capacity of 735,000
barrels a day. The Corpus Christi refinery has a capacity of
215,000 barrels a day.
