Goodmorning Ed, Re:<<...as the dell world gets bigger, they face more obstacles from those that they challenge, who have gotten to where they are by the same factors of execution that dell has used as a box maker...>> how true. I've seen many companies expand beyond their areas of "expertise" to only stumble and fail in the long run. Growing outside of one's "core business" is a tricky thing to accomplish.

Re:<<why hasn't "mikey" himself spoken of this major, never before heard of strategy of free isp by a box maker?...perhaps he views as not important enough....markets need direction, ceo's give direction...>> MD was no where to be seen when the IBM deal was announced, and now he's off center stage with the isp announcement. Can't help but wonder what's going on. Is MD getting to involved with his outside interests??? With respect to market direction, I think the interest rate issue has taken control of the market's direction.

Stock Bull

PS: Guess the markets have shown that Dell's isp move is a non-issue. As you said, look at Dell's and Aol's stock price movement.
