Mile High, Right analogy, wrong conclusion. The Rambus is more similar to the Burst Edo chip in 1996. It was better than SDRAM, but nobody in the DRAM business (except Micron) wanted it, and it flopped. Same deal with Rambus.

I'm sure Intel's bribe money came with performance hoops to jump for Micron. MU will support it up to the end of the bribe money. Period!

Intel is no longer a monopoly and if they try to shove this undesirable chip down pc boxmakers throats, AMD will simply gain even more market share. This isn't 1994. You can no longer bring out overpriced crap and expect dummies to buy it in size. The failure of the PIII, despite huge advertising, is a perfect example.
