Thanks sony, I just finished reading that.. here's what I think...

It's clear from the release that MVIS is a high end solution provider and obviously in the driver's seat (in this case the pilot's seat).

The most important part of that release to me is this:

<<Microvision estimates that as many as 9,000 rotorcraft in the U.S. fleet are candidates for Virtual Cockpit upgrades. The company also envisions that the Virtual Cockpit concept could be utilized in newer helicopters and in a variety of other military and commercial aircraft and even in ground vehicles.>>

Now I don't know exactly what the cost of product supplied by MVIS would be here for the rotorcraft but I can tell you from experience that it's not going to be small.

I won't post my calculations for the potential new business because it would just blow everybody's mind but damn I'm impressed. Even if the only business they ever land from here on is that 9000 rotorcraft, this company is well on it's way to becoming a much bigger company than it is now.

The above statement also implies that the solution is primarily for the military applications for now... another very good thing when you are looking at profitability.

We have a saying in the aerospace business that commercial planes have to be even better than military planes because those military guys expect some risk out there and regular people don't! Not very funny I know but that's the way it goes. What I'm trying to say is that what ends up being used by the military soon becomes the standard for commercial planes as well. This bodes well for the future of MVIS.

Lola:)
