Atna Resources first quarter report Atna Resources Ltd ATN Shares issued 20,203,788 1999-06-08 close $0.84 Wednesday Jun 9 1999 Mr. Peter DeLancey reviews the company The last quarter was active and successful. Following a positive project review and field examination, the company signed an option agreement with Energold Mining Ltd., allowing Atna to earn a 60 per cent interest in the large San Antonio mineral concession in the Dominican Republic. Based on encouraging results from geological mapping, rock and soil geochemical sampling and IP geophysical surveys, the company commenced a 1,500-metre drilling program. Ten relatively shallow diamond drill holes tested some of the target areas defined by the surface surveys. Drilling results were very favourable; some of the better results are listed below. Four holes in the La Parcela area intersected banded massive sulphides over a strike length of 400 metres and to a depth of 130 metres. This mineralization is open in most directions. Two holes intersected banded massive sulphides under the Copper zone (2 kilometres southeast of La Parcela zone). These high-grade drill intersections could represent the upper edges of a large, rich, massive sulphide body. A second phase drilling program is planned for June to follow-up on these drill results and to test additional targets.
