Fab-yes or fab-less?
I found the message below in the Yahoo ESST thread. Can someone confirm this observation? If true, it would be very good news for LSI and definitely a good argument for the fab-yes strategy.

"Taiwan's IC foundry business is quite brisk. TSMC (2330) and UMC (2303) are now running at 100% capacity utilization. Orders for July shipments exceed available capacity by 40% to 50%. We estimate
capacity utilization at TSMC and UMC will surpass 95% in 2Q-3Q99.
