Goldbug, here's a little off-topic fantasy for thought:

Suppose 49r is right, and gold really does drop to, say, $189 an ounce?

Then, all we'd have to do is lop a zero off our funny-money and Augustus St. Gaudens' works of fine art could circulate again!
