patrick..re: dell in china...fortune article..

did the article speak of stock options for the working class, or is that what you read between the lines?

unless things have drastically changed in china, when you set up a "foreign corporation/manufacturing facilty, you must partner with a prc national entity, it is not free trade, very difficult to get a transfer of currency out, normally done with offset of export goods...things may have changed, but i doubt prc has advanced to the point where assembly line workers get stock options....one share would sate the needs of many of the prc working class...

prc not the panacea, it is slow to develop, as in the last twenty plus years, everything to the advantage of the prc entity, you make the investment and become a subordinate partner..dell no different

dell stock price depressed for one reason...poor "perception" by the market in the future and direction of dell to grow....has naught to do with the reality of the balance sheet
