VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--Oriole Systems Inc. (VSE:OOL),
through its subsidiary OrioleSystems.com of New Hampshire,
today announced the opening of its office in San Francisco, California.
The office will support sales as well as marketing operations for
China and the western region of the United States. The recently
appointed Director of International Business Development, Ms. Ada
Mei, will manage the office.
Ms. Mei, a U.S. citizen and a native of China, earned her Masters
degree in Industrial Engineering at the University of Minnesota
and her Bachelor of Science degree at the Beijing Aeronautical
Engineering College in China. Following a six-year career as a
computer engineer with Seagate and Applied Magnetic Co., Ada spent
seven years specializing in business development, sales and
marketing in the computer industry focusing on international trade
and finance.
The San Francisco office will support sales of Oriole's Internet
products and services integrating solutions from its business
partners IBM, NCompass Labs and Magic Software Enterprises. San
Francisco is the sister-city to Shanghai, the largest city in
China. Therefore it is appropriate for the San Francisco office
to support Oriole's initial implementations of e-commerce systems
in China. These are for manufacturers and distributors such as
the Beijing Jewelry Exchange through the recently announced
relationship with Succeed Technology Limited of Hong Kong.
