I have had nothing but trouble with my Micron. Granted they did fix it right away and without question, but in 16 months, I have had three motherboards replaces, a CD-ROM and an internal ZIP drive. It addition I had a glitch on NT 4.0 which caused me to lose my whole system and thus reload everything. Right now, the Hitachi 19" monitor is going out. I have the extended warranty and have never had an issue with replacement -- but there have been several. Never had a problem with a Dell, and cannot say about a Gateway
