LLcoolg, I basically agree with you. The Oregon ruling is fairly irrelevant in the long run. This issue is going to be decided on a national basis. As I better understand the ruling, it is clear that local courts are not going to have the authority to determine cable control. I think at the national level, AOL and others will be given some access to cable lines. This is not a given though, because antitrust laws are extremely complex. T has more clout on the hill than AOL (Armstrong has a lot more cronies than Case).

AOL is still a great company, but the 400% a year days are over(I still think 100%year is possible). I see GE as the ultimate benchmark. I cosnsider it the best company in the world. They sell some product to just about every human being on Earth. Although they have more bricks and mortar than AOL, I cannot fathom an AOL valuation equivalent to GE. Currently, AOL is worth 1/3 of GE.
