I'm going to go out on a limb here and use someone else's published words as an object lesson. A copy of PaineWebber's February 7, 1999, 12-page Investment Policy analysis paper, The Millennium Myth - On Track for "Y2K O.K." has found it's way to my hands.

What can I say? This a major piece of self-delusion.

The key to their position is in the subtitle -- On Track for "Y2K O.K."

For certain, if I were an investor, I'd read this and feel quite confident that Y2K issues were well in hand.
