I won't drive you crazy telling you more about the Balkans than you ever wanted to hear. I have four years on the ground here in two countries and I speak the language better than most foreigners. So I see things a bit differently from the talk show circuit. Bonds - well, this thread is dedicated to the proposition that a clever stockpicker can drastically outperform the markets year in and year out. Took me a couple of years to hit my stride but I think I am in a groove which will last. I could be up a lot more now if I had sold some internuts at the top and shorted more heavily. But I have been in a buy and hold mode lately. Granted the situation is different for those who don't put in the time and rely on fund managers for their returns. But if I can make 60% in less than six months this year as a rank amateur, the pros should be doing that well or better.
