I just did some fooling around with NetMedic and RT. I linked a whole bunch of windows together to get a big data draw. When you drag a new symbol into the linked MM screen, all the other windows change at once and you put out a huge data request. With my cable connection, it only takes a couple seconds for all the data to come through. Per NetMedic, my maximum download speed was 2413kbits/sec. Didn't realize my modem could go that fast. My usual download speed when downloading apps from the web is about 700k. With all those screens running, once the system catches up to the new symbol, I get 50-100k. My normal page draws about 20-40k, consistent with your figure. A symbol change spikes it up to about 500k. I noticed on my system monitor that when I change symbols, during the heavy download interval, free memory spikes up several MB -- say from 4MB to 11MB -- and then returns. Do you have an interpretation for that behavior? NetMedic = fun little tool. Doesn't run exactly right on Win98 though. w
