KVH Achieves ISO 9001 Quality Registration

MIDDLETOWN, R.I.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 9, 1999--KVH Industries, Inc. KVHI today announced that the company has received ISO 9001 registration from KPMG Quality Registrar. The assessment of KVH's quality management system was conducted according to ISO 9001 standards, a globally recognized quality standard established by the International Organization for Standardization in Geneva, Switzerland, and adopted by over 90 countries worldwide. KVH is applying its quality system to designing and manufacturing navigation products, satellite communications systems and fiber optic gyros (FOGs).

KVH markets a range of products, from mobile satellite communications systems used on land and at sea to navigation systems for military and commercial applications. The company's products are based on proprietary autocalibration, sensor and fiber optic technologies. KVH's proprietary FOG technology has the potential to increase the accuracy and stability of many KVH products, particularly tactical navigation systems for the military.
