Unfortunately, I believe that this will be a situation similar to Earthshell (ERTH - another stock I've been short since 10 a share). ERTH was similarly pumped on rumors of a "deal". They announced a not-so-spectalar deal after the close of trading, and i couldn't get a single uptick the following morning.
