I also bought some beaten down stock, at real sale prices today, so they traded up several % until the end of day..
Today I began with a paper profit at the opening and ended with a loss, thanks to datek. One of them was CSON, I would have been able to sell at 5 15/16, but nope. It took near the end, and a shake in between until I got 5 teenies less - at least, eventually, I would have bought the dip, but not in the case being distressed with already holding a position 10 teenies off.
And referring to TA, well fair enough to estimate the bounce, or gap potential, but too much affects the stock at the opening, selling premarket, mood, news... I prefer being presented with a firm bid which I can hit.
Furthermore, the uncertainty about the "operational risk", leads to a coward attitude, which is quite contraproductive in daytrading. ... Being shy towards the market does not necessarily mean "reduced volatility" but it definitely means reduced average trade returns. |
