i just got back from the money show investors conference in vegas. for what it's worth the key speakers (elaine garzarelli, joseph battipaglia,garrett van wagoner) all agreed a 1/4 rate increase is very likely at the end of the month. they also agreed this move has been factored into the market already and won't be a bull killer, they said a 1/2 point increase would spark a short term correction (duh). they also predicted there will be a dramatic correction most likely in the middle of july but. we will still see dow 12,500-13,500 this time next year. all the speakers for the exception of a few quacks hawking their software products were bullish and upbeat for the long term future of the market.
