EP: How could they when they don't know the performance boost Intel will enjoy with larger on-die L2 cache. They could know, if they used their brains. Or at the very least get a very good estimate. Intel has released plenty of benchmarks (everything from Winstone to SPEC) on the Dixon. Comparing those to PII scores should give a very good indication of the performance increase that we can expect (in non-SSE stuff) from the CuMine. With regards to the first reply to your msg: The increase is significantly above 3%. It's on the order of 10%. --fyodor
