For what it's worth, I think the acquisition may have contributed to today's strong day. GEAC has built is reputation through acquisitions, and if I am not mistaken, this is the first (though small) acquisition under Bergeron.

Also, taking a look at the 1-day chart, most of the price increase and volume occurred during the latter part of the day, while the news apparently came out just after the markets closed
