OFF TOPIC

The advent of the Fools in itself is a testimony for the current mania.

No. The advent of the Fools is a testimony to the potential of online, interactive publishing. It's public record that prior to the existence of AOL, the predecessor of the Motley Fool was nothing other than an inexpensive newsletter with a very short list of subscribers garnered primarily from a family wedding list. Without AOL, the advent of the Fool might not have happened.

Though I agree that the current mania has helped accelerate their success, there is no question in my mind that the Motley Fool would be successful in a recession or bear market. I don't agree with everything the company publishes, but I haven't found anybody or any organization that I do agree with entirely.

I wonder how many people take these two clowns seriously.

Count me in that camp.

Mohan, it's not polite to hide behind your anonymity, labelling people clowns when you probably don't know them and probably have never talked to them. I do know them and the only thing they have in common with clowns is their jester's hat.

I'd appreciate you being respectful of my friends in your public disagreement with them. They would extend you that courtesy. Thanks in advance.
